Description XMOS Semiconductor a new configurable and programmable semiconductor device company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated compiler engineer to contribute to the development of compiler technology for its novel hardware-emulation processor.

This is a unique opportinuty to work on an interesting and challenging project in a recently-funded startup. Your responsibilities will include:

- Enhancing compiler infrastructure
- Implementing compiler optimizations
- Working with the architecture group to understand architectural/compiler trade-offs
- Developing and implementing new techniques for targeting multi threaded and multi-processor designs

Qualifications - Strong background in compilers, knowledge of parallelizing optimizations is an advantage
- Strong C programming skills
- Bachelors (2.1) in Computer Science or a related discipline (Masters/PhD a plus)
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
