The hiring manager is new and so did not have a good description. He asked us to write a position description. Develop, modify and maintain a C stdlib for a series of cross compilers and RTOS's. With a cross compiler, users develop code on a PC running Linux or Windows, and the compiler generates assembly code for embedded Freescale processors, such as PowerPC, ColdFire, etc. The stdlib will have to support multiple compilers and real-time operating systems. We believe there will be some support for the C++ standard template library as well.
Qualifications
Excellent C skills. Knowledge of stdlib, embedded stdlib is required. Knowledge of C++ stdlib and related standard libraries is a plus. Great debug skills. Ability to create compact code. Knowledge of what is needed for an embedded C std lib.
