Description The SSS division performs research and development on electronic design automation tools for embedded systems, e.g. future telecommunication and multimedia systems. Major research areas include compilers for embedded processors, architecture optimization for application specific processors (ASIPs), and system-level design and simulation for multi-processor system-on-chip (MPSoC) architectures. These activities are performed in close cooperation with the teams of the Institute for Integrated Signal Processing Systems (ISS) as well as several research partners from academia and industry.

Your tasks:
Carry out R&D projects in close cooperation with our partners
Assist in teaching (lecture exercises, labs, seminars)

Our team-oriented working style and a cooperative leadership concept will give you the necessary freedom for your scientific research with a high degree of motivation, personal responsibility and creativity. Compensation is based on BAT IIa (federal salary rate). Contract duration is limited to 2 years first, extension is envisioned to complete a Ph.D. thesis.

Qualifications Our requirements:
Master degree or equivalent in electrical engineering/computer science/computer engineering with excellent results
Sound knowledge in C/C++ software tool development. Skills in the areas of processor architectures, compiler construction, and/or HW architecture simulation are beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, must be a team player
Good proficiency in oral and written English. German is beneficial.
