Description Nios II is a family of soft-core embedded processors with a general-purpose 32-bit RISC CPU architecture, optimized specifically for Altera FPGAs.

We don't like to pigeon-hole people by skill-sets, but we do need folks with skills in compilers for both our Nios Processor and our C to Hardware compiler. Other areas you would have an opportunity to work in are:


* Designing and implementing (in Java) next-generation tools for visualizing and characterizing embedded systems.
* Developing Eclipse plug-ins for Nios II IDE in Java.
* Growing the Nios II GNU toolchain.
* Adding functional features to the Nios II CPU core itself.

Description As a Senior Staff Member (MTS) of the Software Engineering team, you will work with, and help guide a team of highly skilled and motivated engineers, developing leading-edge design tools targeting System-On-Programmable-Chip (SOPC) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) solutions.
Qualifications Main skills:
Strong C programming
Compiler experience
OO
C++/Java (prefered but not essential)

Any exposure to FPGA devices would enhance application.

Qualifications should include a minimum of an upper second class degree in EE/CS or related technical subject, supported by good A-level grades and a minimum of 3 years experience.
